Jiggly!

Puff! It's Jigglypuff! What a cool and round Pokemon. I actually totally forgot Jigglypuff was in Smash Bros even though its been in all of them. Maybe I don't love Jigglypuff as much as I should?

Pikachu!

Pikachu is a Pokemon from the Pokemon series. I've finally started playing Pokemon Y and it is very fun and exciting! There are so many Pokemon in it and you can fight them and catch them and pat them on the head. I recommend it to all Pokefans!

I stand with Ganondorf

Ganondorf is very evil and is always trying to get the triforce but on the other hand he is pretty cool and can turn into a pig monster. So he's a divisive figure but I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt. I'm not sure if I like this drawing or not either so that's a tricky one too!

It's Mole Mania!!!

Okay so this one was actually drawn earlier in the year and technically doesn't count because he isn't a Smash Bros character but he totally should be because Mole Mania is such a good game. Everyone should play Mole Mania because it is the best!

And who knows, maybe he will turn up! I do prefer the slightly more quirky/obscure characters to, say, Dark Pit or another Mario character. I feel like Smash Bros is the only place Ice Climbers get to hang out anymore for example and that's sad.

Andross won't have his way with me!

This is Fox McCloud. He is a space pilot and a fox. I really disliked (and continue to dislike) Fox's redesign in Brawl so I wanted to go back a bit to a more SF64 style design. I quite like how it came out!

Now I have posted all my Smash Bros drawings. Isn't that sad? Maybe I should draw some more?

Bleep bloop

This one is Samus Aran in her power suit! Samus is a very cool character but I don't like her too much in Smash Bros. I'm contemplating doing another drawing for Zero Suit Samus but I'm not sure yet. The design here is a little weird maybe because I didn't look up reference. I quite like to do it that way because it puts more of myself into the drawing.

The fight is on!

This is one of Pit. He's the hero of Kid Icarus. With this one I was going for a design halfway between the NES original and the Smash Bros redesign. I always preferred the original design over the new one but maybe that'll change once I play Uprising? It might do!

Sweet!

This is another one! It is Princess Peach who is a Smash Bros character that I actually play as unlike all the other ones I've drawn. For some reason most of the ones I've drawn I don't actually like very much. Isn't that weird? Anyway Peach is the best because she has turnips and toads and hits people with her crown and a frying pan.

Show me your moves!

A little while ago I thought it would be a fun idea to go through and draw all the different characters from Super Smash Bros. in anticipation of the new games. I know, pretty cool idea right? The first one I did was this one of Captain Falcon. I didn't manage to get very far into this plan before I dropped it but there are a few for you all. Check back tomorrow for another!

Cor Blimey!

I drew a picture yesterday of a nice chap by name of Yangus. He is from Dragon Quest XIII which is a very cool video game for the PlayStation 2 console. I have also made version of him in colour but you will have to wait a bit for that one!

I hope he has plenty of Ultra Balls!

I made this small comic about Pocket Monsters. That Mewtwo was a mysterious thing back in the day eh? Now they seem quite standard. I caught another one the other day and was like "yea whatevs".

This comic was made a bit differently to my previous ones. I roughed it out on a 'computer' before I inked it. The power of science is staggering isn't it?

I thought Alena looked a bit lonely so I drew her some friends. Small sketches of Borya and Kiryl, also from Dragon Quest IV. That's the whole gang now!

A Drawing

Looks like I've been snowed under with work before deadlines. This is bad news for both my blog and, more importantly, my Nintendo DS. I'm almost there though and looking forward to getting back into the world of Dragon Quest IV. And on that note, here is a little drawing of one of my favourite characters in the game; Alena.

Look! It is my version of the cover of 'Jet Set Willy'! What a classic game. And this cover is probably one of best game covers ever I think! So great. 

James Pond Vs the Invaders from Space

Two video game themed drawings today! I thought I would put two up at once because they aren't very spectacular. James Pond is just classic but this drawing is terribly bland. I may well post something else later if I can find the time.

Sombre Wulf

Oh yes today's drawing is based on the classic ZX Spectrum game 'Sabre Wulf'! My memories of this game are pretty vague. I'm pretty sure all I ever did was wander about the jungle, completely lost and getting attacked by giant spiders until I transformed into a monster?

Again, this is taken from my sketchbook. I went on a bit of a nostalgic game drawing spree a while ago. Pretty pleased with this one though. My drawing uses rather more sombre colour scheme than the game used; hence the hilarious post title (yes explaining puns makes them much more funny actually).

VIDEO GAMES!

Yeah it's Claire Redfield. Claire Redfield is so cool and hardcore. This was taken from my sketchbook and coloured (so badly) on photoshop. I really really need to work on making my colours not be terrible but that is so hard work! Possibly I will practice this week with colouring in video game themed drawings (yes I have more video game drawings for you all). Or maybe I should give up and just leave everything in black and white? Please?

Deku Trees

I drew the great deku tree for some reason. I was trying to develop my use of black and white. I don't think it worked all that well so I added colour. That also didn't work so well! Really need to practice these things more. Might redo the colour one if I get the chance.

They were both done with no planning or references. Possibly this is the reason they don't work huh?
